When I lived in Sandgate I walked this walk many a time.
I will be showing some new work for the first time this year at The Dolls House Hythe on 27th Sept 2013. Please come along over the weekend and take a look for yourself... These are taken from some original sketches I did for the kent series and will be available (as digital sketches only) for sale along with some other prints and goodies.

This one is Deal Pier. It rates highly in my list of favourite piers.. At fist glances its pretty ugly.... and useless, but it brings with it a certain charm. Just another bit of Kent that I love..... I like to do line drawings and then colour them in like an elaborate colouring-in book. Sometimes i go outside the line... Ouuuu get me.
So today I went to my first baby Makaton class with Bo. I love the idea of using Makaton to communicate with her... But this one? Really?
I first saw this video, Like many others, on Facebook. (i have embedded it below) Although we have been lucky and not encountered any issues when out feeding Bo, either that or too pre occupied to notice, I really loved the tone and sincerity of this poem. I wanted to illustrate the whole thing but I don't think my little squares for my 365 is the place, So here is a little piece to mark to moment. This week we have been eating Baby Lead Weaning meals from a book we have... I have to say I have throughly enjoyed myself, regardless of what baby thinks. I have never eaten so well!! Nom Nom Nom.....
Today we watched chunks of Bo's birth video as I set about editing it. We just froze there and stared at the marvel of it all. Smiling like nutters as we heard her first cries. Watching in amazement as Bo was born in the lounge, in an oversize paddling pool, Never have I seen such strength.
Arhhhhh we thought as we reminisced.... then we remembered we should probably see what Bo was doing.... |
